From cooling devices to lightweight structural work: RGR develops the right solution for you

RGR specialises in designing – internally or based on the client’s drawing – heat exchangers, in particular air to air and air to water heat exchangers, industrial/electric fans and components in the field of mid to lightweight industrial structural work. Heat exchangers and fans are mainly manufactured for electric motors of great power, which are used in steel plants and lifting and moving systems.

Specialists in manufacturing industrial and electric fans

In addition to heat exchangers, RGR also manufactures industrial and electric fans, which cool down electric machines by means of an open-circuit operation. This type of cooling devices can also be designed according to a standard model or following the requirements and specifications defined by clients.

INDUSTRIAL FANS

Industrial fans consist of a fan wheel (or impeller) which, with its rotation, is able to obtain an air flow characterised by a given capacity and head. Such fan wheels can adopt different geometric configurations, but RGR uses exclusively radial fan wheels with welded blades, in which the outgoing air flow is at right angle with respect to the direction of rotation.

RGR industrial fans are characterised by a solid metallic structure, by the presence of suitable protection meshes or sucked air filtering systems, and by a degree of protection equal to IP23. Upon request, control devices such as pressure switches can also be installed.

ELECTRIC FANS

Unlike industrial fans, electric fans consist of a fan wheel that is directly moved by an independent electric motor. This type of cooling devices is also characterised by a solid metallic structure, by the exclusive use of radial fan wheels with welded blades and by the presence of protection meshes or sucked air filtering systems.

The degree of protection that is usually foreseen for electric fans is IP23; however, by adopting particular measures, an up to IP44 degree of protection can be reached. Upon request, control devices such as pressure switches can also be installed.
